PROJECT PURPOSE
Chemours is currently executing a new capital expansion project at the Ingleside Plant near Corpus Christi, TX.
Chemours plans to expand capacity of Opteon YF refrigerant production at the site; Opteon YF has been produced in Ingleside, TX since 2019 as a low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant to support various refrigerant markets, particularly automotive air conditioning.
According to Chemours, the expansion will expand current product production by as much as 40%. G.A. West is serving as the General Contractor for the expansion.
G.A. WEST SCOPE
G.A. West's scope will be full-service, including civil, concrete, structural, millwright, piping, and electrical trades. Scope will involve non-outage work through late summer 2024 with a large turnaround scope in fall 2024.
